Last updated: 1 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Dorje Media Pte Ltd ("Dorje Media," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data in connection with Analyse Podcast and the website at analysepodcast.com (the "Site"), including our podcast, newsletter, paid membership, and related services (together, the "Service").

We are committed to handling your personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"). If you are accessing the Service from outside Singapore, please note that your data will be processed in accordance with this Policy and Singapore law, as described in "International Data Transfers" below.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Company registration number (UEN): 201708930H

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

a) Information you provide directly

  • Newsletter subscribers: your email address, and name if provided, when you subscribe via the Site.
  • Members and paid subscribers: your email address, name, and membership tier when you register or subscribe through our membership portal. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe — we do not receive or store your full card number.
  • Donations/support: if you use the "Donate" function, payment is processed by Stripe on the same basis as above.
  • Correspondence: information you provide when you email us, submit guest pitches, or otherwise contact us directly.

b) Information collected automatically When you visit the Site, we and our hosting provider may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring/exit pages, time spent on the Site, and click activity
  • General location data derived from IP address (country/city level only)

This data is collected through standard web server logs and Google Analytics, which we use to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns on the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this data; Google's own processing of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

c) Information from third-party platforms If you listen to or interact with Analyse Podcast through third-party platforms — Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or similar — your data on those platforms is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, not this one. We may receive aggregated, non-identifying listenership statistics from these platforms and from our podcast host, Libsyn.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health, financial account, or biometric information) through the Site.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal data for the following purposes, consistent with the purposes we notify you of at the point of collection:

  • To operate and deliver the Service, including sending podcast episode notifications and newsletter content
  • To process paid memberships and donations
  • To respond to correspondence, guest inquiries, and support requests
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site
  • To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service
  • To comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal data for purposes beyond those stated here or otherwise notified to you, except with your consent or as permitted or required by law.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in to your member account
  • Remember your preferences (e.g., dark mode)
  • Understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns, via Google Analytics cookies

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect some functionality, such as staying signed in as a member. We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common industry standard exists for interpreting them.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal data only with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the Service, including:
    • Ghost(Pro), our website hosting and publishing platform
    • Stripe, for payment processing of memberships and donations
    • Libsyn, for podcast hosting and distribution
    • Google Analytics, for aggregate website usage and traffic analysis
    • Email delivery infrastructure used to send newsletters and member communications
  • Professional advisers (e.g., accountants, legal counsel) where necessary for our business operations
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dorje Media, our users, or others
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to that entity being bound by materially equivalent privacy commitments

We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.

6. International Data Transfers

Our service providers, including Ghost(Pro) and Stripe, may store and process data on servers located outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data outside Singapore, we take steps required under Section 26 of the PDPA to ensure the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, generally through the service provider's own contractual and certification commitments (e.g., standard contractual clauses, SOC 2, or equivalent).

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (for example, accounting and tax record-keeping obligations under Singapore law). Newsletter and membership data is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after you unsubscribe or your account is closed, unless we are required to retain it longer for legal or accounting reasons.

8. Your Rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data at any time (note this may limit our ability to provide the Service to you, e.g., you will stop receiving newsletter or membership communications)
  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you and information on how it has been used or disclosed in the past year
  • Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 12. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required under the PDPA.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) if you believe we have not complied with the PDPA: pdpc.gov.sg.

9. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organisational measures — including those provided by our infrastructure and payment partners — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that is notifiable under the PDPA, we will notify the PDPC and affected individuals in accordance with our legal obligations.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children and is not intended for use by individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

The Site and our episode pages may link to or embed content from third-party platforms (podcast directories, YouTube, social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

12. Contact Us / Data Protection Officer
